Crash report
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Launch Kdenlive 26.08.2 (Apple Silicon DMG) on macOS 27.2
2. Click the button to start editing / open the main window
**Observed result**
Immediate crash, every time. EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP), "pointer authentication
trap DA".
**Expected result**
Main editing window opens.
**Crash analysis**
Main thread stack:
KDirOperator::setViewMode (KF 6.30.0)
→ QGuiApplication::setOverrideCursor
→ libqcocoa → QImage::toCGImage (Qt 6.11.1)
→ CGImageCreate → verify_image_parameters → valid_image_colorspace
→ CGColorSpaceGetType → CFGetTypeID → __CF_IS_OBJC (PAC trap)
The CGColorSpaceRef passed to CGImageCreate fails pointer authentication, which
suggests
an invalid or released colour space object in Qt's cursor-image conversion.
Possibly
a Qt 6.11 cocoa cursor regression or a macOS 27 incompatibility, rather than
Kdenlive code.
**Software/OS versions**
- Kdenlive: 26.08 (26.08.2), Apple Silicon DMG
- Qt: 6.11.1 (bundled), KDE Frameworks: 6.30.0, MLT: 7.43
- macOS: 27.2 (26B123), arm64
- Hardware: Mac17,4 (MacBook, M5)
**Additional information**
- Already tried: config reset (though the first crash was the first ever run of
kdenlive on this machine) / nightly build 13891 (Macos refused to run it) /
default colour profile / kdenlive 26.04.3 - Same result on all
- Full crash report attached
