After a suspend requested by PowerDevil with no lid close logged, the kernel, UPower and PowerDevil all reported brightness 0, and it stayed 0 after typing. Writing a non-zero value relit the keyboard immediately. After a suspend requested from plasmashell, brightness was still 3 on wake, but that's a single sample. >From reading the code, the proposed pre-suspend save may not cover idle suspends. DimDisplay and DPMS set the keyboard to 0 on their idle timeouts, so if that happens before aboutToSuspend, the saved value would already be 0. Restoring then depends on onWakeupFromIdle running.
