            Bug ID: 528110
Summary: Subtitles are no longer auto-selected by preferred
                    language
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Haruna
      Version First 1.9.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Since Haruna 1.9.0, subtitles are no longer selected automatically by language.
"Preferred language" is ignored when "Preferred track" is 0, which is the
default. With the same settings, 1.8.1 selected the matching track.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In Settings > Subtitles, enable "Auto select track". Set "Preferred
language" to "eng" and leave "Preferred track" at 0.
2. Open an MKV file that has English subtitle tracks (lang=eng) and no subtitle
track marked as default.
3. Open the Subtitles menu and look at which track is selected.

OBSERVED RESULT
No subtitle track is selected. A track picked by hand is lost when Haruna
restarts.

EXPECTED RESULT
The first English subtitle track is selected, as in 1.8.1.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0
Haruna: 1.9.0
mpv: 0.41.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
mpv itself selects the right track: "mpv --slang=eng --sid=auto" on the same
file picks the English track.

Workaround: set "Preferred track" to an id the file does not have, such as 99.
For some reason this works right away and the correct subtitle is loaded,
without restarting Haruna.
