It happens on every exit, not only at shutdown. Quitting with File -> Quit while the session is running is enough. The same happens when the action is triggered over D-Bus: qdbus6 org.kde.ktorrent /ktorrent/MainWindow_1/actions/file_quit trigger glibc reports "double free or corruption (!prev)" or "corrupted size vs. prev_size while consolidating". Torrent state (~/.local/share/ktorrent/tor*/) is written before the abort, so no data is lost. systemd-coredump has 12 KTorrent crashes here since May 2026 (ktorrent 26.04.x to 26.08.2, openssl 3.6.3 to 3.6.5). Symbolized backtrace (eu-stack + Arch debuginfod; gdb itself aborted on this core). When the crash happens, the main thread is the ONLY thread left in the process.
