DESCRIPTION
Revision 57 of the kde-qt6-core24-sdk snap has an effectively empty
"/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/13/include" directory (only objc/ remains). In
Revision 51 the directory contains the C headers, including stddef.h.
This currently breaks builds of my Python extension, where the build now fails
with
:: In file included from /usr/include/python3.12/Python.h:23,
:: from picard/util/_astrcmp.c:43:
:: /usr/include/stdlib.h:32:10: fatal error: stddef.h: No such file or
directory
:: 32 | #include <stddef.h>
:: | ^~~~~~~~~~
:: compilation terminated.
:: error: Command '['x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc', '-fno-strict-overflow',
'-Wsign-compare', '-DNDEBUG', '-g', '-O2', '-Wall',
:: '-fPIC', '-I/root/.cache/uv/builds-v0/.tmpE6oIYl/include',
'-I/usr/include/python3.12', '-c', 'picard/util/_astrcmp.c', '-o',
:: 'build/temp.linux-x86_64-cpython-312/picard/util/_astrcmp.o']'
returned non-zero exit status 1.
The same build succeeded with earlier versions of the kde-qt6-core24-sdk snap.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Inspect the
/snap/kde-qt6-core24-sdk/57/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/13/include directory
OBSERVED RESULT
The directory only contains the "objc" directory
EXPECTED RESULT
C headers are present, including stddef.h
