Summary: Edit->Copy (Ctrl+C) should copy the input when result
is blank
Classification: Applications
Product: kcalc
Version First 26.08.2
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
I often come to use the kcalc, muscle memory kicks in and I do 2+2= on my
numpad, since that’s what you do with a real calculator, I then do Ctrl+C to
copy the calculated number, but it doesn’t copy to the clipboard, because
Ctrl+C or Edit->Copy only copies the bottom row of the calculator, not the top
row. I believe the kcalc should copy the top row number when the bottom row is
blank. Because as soon as you press Equals (Enter Key), it prevents you being
able to copy.
I’ve a few times managed to get the kcalc in to a state where it won’t copy
either number, but I think that’s when I click the display at the top, so that
might be a focus/un-focusing problem. This is just a side note.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Not working
1. Open kcalc
2. Type 2 + 2
3. Press Enter
4. Ctrl+C does not work, calculated number not in clipboard
OBSERVED RESULT

WORKING CLIPOARD
