--- Comment #3 from Rock <[email protected]> --- **Update: KWin 6.8.2 — HDR corruption and prolonged compositor stall** The issue persists under KWin 6.8.2 on openSUSE Tumbleweed with my Radeon RX 6900 XT and Acer Predator X27U Z1 (2560×1440, 280 Hz, DisplayPort). After disabling and re-enabling monitors and toggling HDR, the Acer began displaying rainbow/static corruption. Further HDR toggling caused all three displays to stop updating for approximately three minutes. Discord notification audio continued functioning during the stall, indicating the system was still running. Kernel logs recorded repeated AMDGPU DRM errors: ``` [drm:dcn20_wait_for_blank_complete [amdgpu]] *ERROR* DC: failed to blank crtc! [CRTC:503:crtc-2] flip_done timed out [CRTC:503:crtc-2] commit wait timed out [CONNECTOR:541:DP-3] commit wait timed out [PLANE:209:plane-3] commit wait timed out ``` These errors occurred repeatedly between approximately 06:01 and 06:04 on November 3. The Acer is connected through DP-3. Both other monitors were affected by the display stall, although they did not exhibit the same image corruption. The same hardware configuration worked correctly under KWin 6.7.5. The regression began with KWin 6.8.0 and remains reproducible in 6.8.2. Changing Color Power Preference between Prefer Accuracy and Prefer Efficiency did not resolve the issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
