Confirming on Plasma 6.8 on Fedora 44 (with some Claude help for debugging).
With Union, all headings in System Settings, Kickoff's user name header,
plasmoid tooltip titles and the calendar popup's date heading use Switzer, an
installed font that is not set anywhere. All other text uses my General font
(Supreme), and Breeze is fine. Re-enabling Union and logging out and in doesn't
change it.

Some findings that may help with the theory in comment 4:

- Qt font-match logging (QT_LOGGING_RULES="qt.text.font.match.debug=true")
shows every heading-sized request (19-21 px, weight 400/600) asking for family
"Switzer" by name, and all other requests asking for "Supreme" (I attached the
log).
- No config file references Switzer (kdeglobals has Supreme for every font key,
and strace of systemsettings shows no opened file containing it).
- fc-match sans-serif returns Noto Sans, not Switzer, so the heading font isn't
simply the default sans-serif substitute.
- Switzer was likely my General font when I first enabled Union (I was
experimenting with system fonts).

KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.11.2
