Full macOS crash report from Krita Next 6.1.0 when creating a new canvas (Qt
6.11.0).

DESCRIPTION

Krita Next crashes every time I try to create a new blank canvas on my Mac mini
M4 running macOS 27.3 Beta 1. The New Document dialog opens normally, but Krita
crashes immediately after I confirm the creation of the new canvas.

I also tested the older September 29 build (krita-6.1.0-prealpha-5804664),
which includes Qt 6.11.3. That build works without any issues on the same Mac.
However, the newer Krita Next build from November 5 still includes Qt 6.11.0
and crashes consistently.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Open Krita Next on macOS.

Select New Document and choose a blank canvas.

Click Create.

OBSERVED RESULT

Krita crashes before the new canvas can open.

EXPECTED RESULT

Krita should create and open a new blank canvas normally.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System: macOS 27.3 Beta 1 (26C5035r)

Hardware: Mac mini M4 (ARM64)

Krita: 6.1.0 Next, November 5, 2026 build

Qt Version: 6.11.0

KDE Plasma Version: macOS

KDE Frameworks Version: 6.25.0 (bundled libraries)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The crash occurs on the main thread with EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP). The stack
trace includes QCocoaCursor::createCursorData(), QImage::toCGImage() and
CGColorSpaceGetType().

The Qt 6.11.3 test build works correctly on the same system, so this may be
related to the older Qt version bundled with the current macOS Next builds.

I've attached the macOS crash report. I also attempted to collect an LLDB
backtrace, but macOS denied the debugger permission to attach to the process.
