Bug ID: 528257
Summary: Ctrl+k shortcut for selecting krunner results behaves
strangely
Classification: Plasma
Product: krunner
Version First 6.8.2
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
The ctrl+k keyboard shortcut should select the previous item (move up) in
krunner's search results. Since the most recent update, the shortcut doesn't
work consistently. Using the shortcut selects the last result immediately,
then it stops working entirely. Using an arrow key (up or down) at least once
fixes the issue.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open krunner
2. Type a search term that produces multiple results (a simple `k` is enough)
3. Press ctrl+k
OBSERVED RESULT
The last item in the search results is selected. Ctrl+j and ctrl+k stop
working.
EXPECTED RESULT
Ctrl+k should select the the item above the currently selected one. Initially
(when the results first appear) it should select the last item, and continue
working after being pressed again to select the previous item.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have also observed the same issue on Fedora 44.
