As I've noted before - this is not specific to X11: I've been using Wayland for more than 5 years and this issue had always been present there. This is not about virtual desktops, but about activities. On Wayland, when restoring the session, the session starts at the last activity where the previous session ended (regardless of internal activity order), and all windows start on that activity - regardless of which activity they were on in the last session. I just reproduced this issue on Plasma 6.8.2. This is an issue with *all* applications. I specifically get this with: - Firefox - Chrome - Chromium - Eclipse - Kate - Dolphin - Kwi (the new experimental terminal emulator that is still in heavy development, doesn't get this right either) - Various flatpak non-KDE/non-Qt applications There's actually not a single application that I use, today, on a fully up to date system, that restores to anything other than the last used activity. If I understand correctly - this is something that XDG Session Management should solve, and at least some KDE applications on Plasma 6.8/Frameworks 6.31/Gear 26.08.3 should work well enough (and some do restore to the correct virtual desktop) - so I think this issue is not a duplicate of #15329. The other weird thing is with Konsole: I usually have two instances running on each of two activities, and when restoring the session - only one is started. Because Konsole doesn't have true session restore (it doesn't remember tabs from the previous run, which is a feature I'm not sure I actually want anyway) - I don't know which instance, if that even matters, that was restored. But that is probably for another bug report. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
