            Bug ID: 528415
Summary: Independent timeline resolutions for different
                    sequences in the same project
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
      Version First 26.08.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
I am moving from Adobe Premiere to Kdenlive and I noticed a limitation with the
multi-sequence feature. Right now, project settings are global. If I want to
create different sequences with different characteristics (like resolution or
orientation) in the same project, Kdenlive doesn't allow it. Changing the
settings for one sequence changes the entire project.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new project and set the profile/settings to horizontal (e.g.,
1920x1080, 29.97fps).
2. Create a second sequence inside the same project.
3. Try to change the settings of this second sequence to vertical (e.g.,
1080x1920, 29.97fps).

OBSERVED RESULT
The entire project changes its global profile. The first horizontal sequence is
automatically converted to vertical, breaking its original layout.

EXPECTED RESULT
Every sequence inside the same project should be completely independent.
Changing the resolution, frame rate, or characteristics of one sequence should
not affect the other sequences in the project (just like in Premiere).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Linux Mint Cinnamon
KDE Plasma Version: (unspecified)
KDE Frameworks Version: (unspecified)
Qt Version: (unspecified)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a feature request (wishlist) to decouple the project profile from
individual sequences.
