on top broken situation i.e. no difference with reverse alphabetical order,
bottom ok situation
DESCRIPTION
Hi, I've noticed koko_26.08 is broken with regard to reverting the alphabetical
sort of images inside a folder. I've tried all 3 settings natural, Alphabetical
case (in)sensitive, but behavior doesn't change.
I've bisected the git history and found the issue was introduced with commit
d396bddc Dolphin-matched image sorting, with natural or optionally case
sensitive alphabetical modes
Please find attached a collection of screenshots showing the good/bad
situations: on 151c5df6 (parent of d396bddc), setting a reverse sort by name
gets the images sorted 9-to-1 as expected, while on d396bddc the order remains
1-to-9 regardless of reverting the sort. Test folder has filenames as following
mobian@mobian:~$ ls ~/testimages/
IMG01.png IMG02.png IMG03.png IMG04.png IMG05.png IMG06.png IMG07.png
IMG08.png IMG09.png
With koko_26.08 on a normally populated Pictures folder, reverting the
alphabetical order gets the "Screenshot" sub-folder at the bottom, but images
remain in the A-Z alphabetical order.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a folder in koko
2. select "Sort: Name"
3. try "Z-A" rather than "A-Z"
OBSERVED RESULT
sub-folders are moved to the bottom, but images remain in the A-Z order
with normally named IMG2026xxxxxx.jpg images, the (reverse) alphabetical order
equals to a chronological "older first"/"newer first" sorting
EXPECTED RESULT
images to be shown in reverse order with "Z-A" compared to the "A-Z"
alphabetical sorting
