Bug ID: 528510
Summary: Multimonitor arrangements may cause on screen windows
to not be displayed in Icons and test Task Manager
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.8.2
Reported In:
Platform: EndeavourOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager widgets
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
DESCRIPTION
Multimonitor arrangements sometimes cause on screen windows to not be displayed
in Icons and text Task Manager
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-1. Set Icons and text Task Manager to only list tasks from the current screen.
0. Do janky stuff with multimonitor setups. Maybe connect a monitor, move some
windows to it and then disconnect it.
# next steps shown in attached video
1. Move the monitor coordinates to an off-position and look at the panel
entries
2. Move the monitor coordinates to a seemingly normal-ish position and look at
the panel entries
OBSERVED RESULT
- In some positions, the Icons and text Task Manager will not show windows on
the same screen
- Even if you move windows to and from another screen, the problem persists
EXPECTED RESULT
- The Icons and Text Task Manager should show all windows that are on the same
screen
