            Bug ID: 358303
Summary: Desktop Folder View does not respect custom Desktop
                    location
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.5.3
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
               URL: http://tinypic.com/r/2j0o4g2/9
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Folder
          Assignee: h...@kde.org
          Reporter: clintontheg...@gmail.com
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

I've set my Desktop path to my home folder in Applications -> Locations. It
graciously migrated my shortcuts to my new desktop folder.

However, now I see .desktop extensions on all my shortcuts. This is likely
since I must set my Location in the Plasma Folder View Desktop to "Home"
instead of the default option "Show the Desktop Folder" which persists in
showing icons from ~/Desktop. It should, instead, respect the custom Desktop
folder I have set.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Change your Desktop folder to your Home directory in Applications ->
Locations
2.Change to Folder View for your Plasma Desktop

Actual Results:
Nothing is on the desktop. It reflects anything copied into ~/Desktop

Expected Results:
I would see the contents of my home directory.
