## HowTo reproduce
* Create text and try to enter (Ctrl+Shift+U+Unicode Number) or try to insert
some text using Ctrl+V. Nothing happens (or some obscure action)
## Expected behaviour
* at least Ctrl+V can be used to insert text snippets. Support of typing
unicode characters using the keyboard would be a nice addition.

* Gnome 3.22.2 Desktop
