Hi there,
I love using kdevelop because of its integration with KDE. Until recent
upgrades, its python syntax highlighting was good. However, it became too bad
with latest versions.
This is a link to a simple python script :

When I open it with kdevelop, I got this :

As you see, def and polyfit3 words are in SAME color. Similar to if statement.
When I open same script using ipython notebook, I got this :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_Q40061T8gWaThDY0pvV2pvYlU
which is much better compared to kdevelop.
What is wrong with kdevelop ?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a python script using kdevelop
2. open same script using another text editor or ide
3. compare 1 & 2 above.
Actual Results:
too bad syntax highlighting
Expected Results:
reasonable syntax highlighting
