--- Comment #4 from Vangelis <cyberan...@gmail.com> ---
Since I couldn't live anymore with a blank desktop, I started modifying the
plasmoids that plasmashell is using directly from the config file
'plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc'.

What I found is that whenever I put two folderview plasmoids on any Containment
of type 'org.kde.desktopcontainment', plasmashell crashes.

Two interesting observations:
1) Once plasmashell is running, if I already have a folderview plasmoid and
want to add an additional one there is no problem. I can add it and keep on
working for this session. However, if I kill plasmashell and re-run it, then
plasmashell keeps on crashing (never comes up again). If I remove manually any
of the two folderview plasmoids from the configuration file
'plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc' and re-run plasmashell, then
plasmashell runs fine again.

2) I have a dual monitor setup and each monitor has a different desktop
containment of type 'org.kde.desktopcontainment'. Let's call the containment
that is assigned to monitor 1 as "c1" and the containment that is assigned to
monitor 2 "c2". It doesn't matter to which desktop containment I will add a
second folderview plasmoid. Any combination will occur to a crash. As long as I
have one folderview in "c1" and add a second folderview in "c1", in the next
login plasmashell will keep on crashing. The same will occur if I add the
second folderview in "c2". It seems that as long as there is more than one
folderview in one or more desktop containments, plasmashell is crashing.
