Yes, please go talk to them. I've tried. More than once.

No; kaccounts needs to install its own file to /etc/profile, which
unfortunately
I've been too busy to fix and semi-forgot.

When you want your users to connect/share/use through "KDE" and not "Unity"
or whatever Ubuntu is using.

moreless
in maintenance mode, there is nobody actively working on it.
