Bug ID: 383399
Summary: KDE Neon loads into GRUB Minimal after a clean install
Product: neon
Version: unspecified
Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: grave
Priority: NOR
Component: Live/Install images
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
I tried installing images neon-useredition-20170808-1021-amd64.iso and
neon-useredition-20170810-1018-amd64.iso on my ThinkPad 13 laptop with a single
256GB M.2-SATA SSD. While the images do install using 'Use the Entire Disk', it
is impossible to boot into Neon because I get a screen with GRUB Minimal Bash
Like Editing is Supported. I am installing the OS in UEFI mode.
Using boot-repair through an ubuntu Live USB is unable to correct this issue.
Browsing for this problem has suggested that many people have been having
problems with installing these builds.
