There is a similar problem when using the reports in that if yearly is selected
for the column criteria then the split is always based on calendar year. There
is no option to have the year end say on the fiscal year end. 

If for instance you select the date period as 01/06/2016 to 31/05/2017 and
select yearly then you will have two columns when with the figures up to
31/12/2016 and the other with period 01/01/2017 to 31/05/2017. Particularly
when viewing inform on the fiscal year then it should break on the fiscal year
end.
