--- Comment #114 from mcgyver <sergio.dav...@gmail.com> ---
I tried to reconstruct the PKGBUILD file and a patch file from the description
of the error at https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-62117

In particular, I patched the source code reverting the commit
eeb320bbd8763f3e72f79369cc3908e999a0da3c (with the diff file from
http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qtdeclarative.git/patch/?id=eeb320bbd8763f3e72f79369cc3908e999a0da3c
)

However, I could only get a package up to date with a (small-ish) memory leak
as described earlier: every time the image in the slideshow is updated, some
additional KB of memory are allocated and never released.

I am reverting back to the qt5-declarative published at
http://pkgbuild.com/~arojas/qt5-declarative-5.9.1-3.1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

If anyone has a better idea on how to proceed to update qt5-declarative, or how
to correct the KDE infrastructure to have fully updated packages and no memory
leak, please post the solution!
