Confirmed. Note that ~/Photos is actually selected, it's just that the tree
view doesn't show it properly, because /home/<username> doesn't get expanded.
Part of the problem is this ugly file picker panel that starts rooted at /
instead of ~. I think we should use different options when calling up the file
picker. That may solve the issue altogether.
