SHORTFORM : filetypes related actions (i.e. adding a widget on the desktop
depending on the type of file dropped) don't work properly for pictures :
picture frame is not in the list. It used to.
First of all : I'm not sure to file the bug at the right place.
My problem is related to the Picture Frame. Apparently it seems it was
superseded by the Media Widget which belongs to the kdeplasma-addons packages
(but it's not listed in the components in the bugtracker).
FORMER / CORRECT BEHAVIOUR : when dragging a file over a KDE Desktop (in
regular mode, not in folder view mode), depending on the filetype, different
actions and related widgets were offered / suggested. When dragging a picture
over the desktop, I used to have the following choices : add a picture frame,
set as wallpaper, create an icon (link it).
CURRENT BEHAVIOUR : when dragging a picture file over the Desktop (former
regular KDE mode, not folder view), I am only offered the following choices :
set as wallpaper, add an icon. I have to manually add a picture frame / media
widget. D&D doesn't work on the widget either, I have to manually choose the
file in the widget settings.
HYPOTHESIS : maybe that's due to the fact the picture frame was replaced by the
more general media widget, and all changes were not made meanwhile to set the
filetypes associations properly ?
