Bug ID: 387586
Summary: Task Selection Context Menu Troubles with Focus
Follows Mouse
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.10.5
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Icons-only Task Manager
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
I am using the Icons-only Task Manager together with the "Focus Follows Mouse"
policy (System Settings - Window Management - Window Behavior - Focus).
When multiple instances of an application are running, the Icons-only Task
Manager groups these together and displays a context menu upon clicking the
application's icon.
After a recent update (possibly from 5.9.x), this context menu now opens with a
1 or 2 pixel gap to the task manager
Thus, attempting to click on the context menu requires moving the mouse across
the gap, which focuses the appplication below and closes the context menu.
This can be reduced somewhat using the "Delay focus by" option, but I prefer
this set to less than 10 ms in order to allow quick working with Blender and
other multi-window applications that are heavy on keyboard shortcuts.
