This results in krunner showing up without alpha on startup if it gets started
before kwin_x11 is initialized. Easy to reproduce by starting krunner with
compositing toggled off, opening krunner, toggling compositing on again and
opening krunner again. Krunner remains opaque.
If krunner is started while compositing is turned on, it works as expected.
I bisected it to 4ce50cc.
