I'm not sure whether we've got much control here.
Part of the equation is the widget style plugin -- which is something Qt
provides. We support three of those plugins: breeze (not available on Windows),
Fusion and Plastique. Fusion is the current Qt default.
Plastique is a bit more old-fasioned, and has a bit clearer scrollbars. It can
be used by starting krita from the command line like this:
c:\path\to\krita\krita.exe --style=plastique
The other part is the color theme. We ship several already, and maybe another
theme might work better for Sonia. Color themes don't have separate entries for
scrollbars, though. A color theme looks like this:
