If you have problems with brushes being slow, please refer to the faq: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Krita_is_slow If you are really using OSX, then you probably are using a mac with an AMD GPU. Please try to use the 4.0 beta instead of 3.3.3, since we had to disable canvas accelearation on macs with an AMD gpu because of driver bugs in 3.x.
