It would be ideal if KDE would provide notification events for:
attached USB devices
attached HDMI/VGA devices
RJ45 jack connection uplink
wireless connection established
SDcard reader card inserted detection
powerbutton pressed notification
those are basic notifications absent from KDE which would be a great compliment
to the system.
