Bug ID: 391893
Summary: Plasmashell crashed alone
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.12.2
Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
KDE Plasma: 5.12.2
Qt Version: 5.10
Frameworks Version: 5.43.0
XOrg: Mesa 18.0.0 and xorg-x11-server 1.19.6
Kernel: 4.15.7
-- Description:
- I was working with two activities on two monitors and RAM almost full . After
I closed a Yast2 application while it was still performing an action
(calculating differences on Snapper) the plasmashell crashed. The screen went
completely black with no panels and wallpapers and no right click on desktop
background. The only process that was killed was plasmashell. Kwin and related
stuff remained functioning normally (app windows was working normally too).
-- Workaround:
- I reloaded plasmashell through "kstart plasmashell" command and it seems to
have solved. I'm still working on my job's stuff while monitoring plasmashell
via konsole, since I have run "kstart plasmashell" on it.
-- Reproducible:
- I has happened once.
