After selecting to automatically change audio sources when they become
available, audio sources cannot be found. KDE has no audio sources, volume
adjustment or sound. This is restricted to the user's profile, not system
wide.
KDE Plasma version 5.12.3
open Audio Volume Settings
in the Audio Volume section, click on the Advanced tab
select Automatically switch all running streams when a new output becomes
available.
