Thanks for the patch! These tend to get lost when they're just attached to

I'll be happy to give you a hand. Even if this patch won't be accepted as-is,
by submitting it, you can start a conversation with the developers regarding
what might be a better way. I anticipate that you'll run into conceptual
objections: if panels don't show when a window or app wants attention, how are
you supposed to find that out except by chance, the next time you happen to
show the panel? In the end, a configuration option might be needed.
P.S. what's your favorite 3D printer these days?
