Is this bug still relevant for you?
I have now printed my Octave worksheet with Latex code, text entries, code and
graphics (HPLIP 3.17.7-3, CUPS 2.2.4-7 and my printer is LaserJet PRO M104a)
and all looks correct: all lines appears in the paper.
