            Bug ID: 395204
Summary: Desktop files/folders are permanently repositioned
when the desktop switches to a lower display
                    resolution
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.13.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Folder
          Assignee: h...@kde.org
          Reporter: funkybom...@gmail.com
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

When I run a fullscreen game that switches my resolution down to 640x480 or
800x600 and then I switch back to 1920x1080, then almost every file on my
desktop has moved to a different position!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Use "Folder View" for the desktop.
2) Set your screen resolution to the standard value in your display options
(eg: 1920 x 1080).
3) Place multiple files/folders on your desktop, ideally at each corner of the
screen.
3.1) You can also try to lock them in place with the "locked" option
4) Manually (for ease) change the resolution to something lower (eg: 800 x
600).
5) Change the resolution again to the original (eg: 1920 x 1080).

Actual Results:
The files/folders will appear on different places.

Expected Results:
Files/folders should not be automatically rearranged when the resolution
changes, or (better) each file's/folder's position should be permanently
remembered per resolution.
