I constantly encounter similar result (KDE UI freezes but not crashes) and can
easily reproduce it on Fedora 27 WS. I run kdenlive v.18.04.2 via Flatpak with
the user permissions (not sure if it makes a difference though).
Steps to reproduce:
- launch kdenlive
- click on the "New" icon to create a new project
- check box "Custom project folder"
- type in a path to some existing directory under $HOME
- click Ok to close Project Settings window
- menu File > Save As > Navigate to the custom project directory, give a name
for the project
- click "Open"
- select Add Title Clip
- add some text inside the title clip
- click on the "Save As" icon
UI freezes forever.
