Bug ID: 395632 Summary: On RX Vega 64, KDE compositor does not run at 144Hz even though monitor refresh rate is set to 144Hz Product: kwin Version: 5.12.5 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: compositing Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ben.r.x...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- On my Fedora 28 system running a RX Vega 64 on open source drivers, the KDE compositor seems to set the wrong refresh rate. I have a 144Hz monitor, but the Kwin compositor seems to render at 60FPS. I have verified that the monitor is indeed set to 144Hz via xrandr. Moving windows around seems really laggy. If I disable the compositor, it feels silky smooth (minus all the window repainting of course). I am currently working around this issue by setting "MaxFPS=144" and "RefreshRate=144" in kwinrc, but I think the failure to detect the proper compositor refresh rate here is still a bug. I will attach "xrandr" and "qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation" logs shortly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
