Since the systemd incident, half the Debian devs abandoned the project and from the remaining ones, most of them are semi-disabled and just waiting to see what the future holds. Do you believe that a bunch of paid devs, can run a vast distro, like Debian??? Having said that, KDE on Debian is flawed. Many apps couldn't even compile and the binaries from repos, are just static KDE4 ones. I'm not familiar with other distros (because I was using Debian since its first releases), but KDE5 on Debian, is at early beta stage (to say the best). BTW, I had the same issue on PCLinux, which never had the systemd "component". @Vlad: ???
