Hello Andrew Crouthamel,

I already could handle this faulty behaviour by using apt-get update and
upgrade in the terminal.

I'm sorry not to be able to remember the exact cause of this former error, but
in the meantime I could figure out that muon ***always*** behaves like this
when any kind of error happens on updating/upgrading system components and with
kept back packages either by error or by intention.

I guess at least an error message would be quite helpful on this issue to have
a clue, what this error is about so the user can do a workaround with the
terminal and maybe get help from the package sources that failed to
update/upgrade.

The muon version is still the same as there is no version upgrade available for
Kubuntu 14 LTS.

Thanks for the reminder!

Jens

PS: I'm not sure about the status selection as though I found a work around the
issue itself still isn't solved.
