I tried reproducing on a kgeography 0.9 (on Debian Stretch, installed from apt default source) with an en_US.utf8 locale, to no avail. I don’t mind if you close the bug as solved, seeing that I was apparently the only one to experience it back in 2009, and that I can no longer reproduce it.
