Most KDE distros emphasize the program category. That is, on the Kicker Application Launcher Web Browser is in the larger font, and Chromium is in the smaller font. Recently Kubuntu reversed that. But, when the sort was invoked on Kubuntu, it sorted by the apparently minor category instead of the apparently major Program Name.
