This is still the most annoying non feature on gwenview.
In my case (I guess most photographers and so) doesn't use the oversized
semantic box in the panel, and if you want more metadata seen on the screen you
have to scroll each time to find what you need.
I would really see a option (it can be in config file) to disable completely
this panel.
