Ah, that's right. I forgot that we actually changed it to use a different icon
rather than just updating the existing icon. So clearing the icon cache
wouldn't have any effect in this case

There may be some value to figuring out how to change default places panel
icons that haven't been explicitly overridden, but there's also an argument for
not changing things out from under users. Might want to err on the side of not
changing the icons of people's places panel items.
