Would it be possible for you to install Dolphin 18.12 on your current system and try if you can reproduce the bug? We will of course reopen this report if the crash is not fixed, but it'd be great to have confirmation that the bug does still exist. For your baloo-related problems: You might want to seek help on #kde or alternatively disable baloo temporarily with 'balooctl disable'. Hope that helps!
