Bug ID: 404736 Summary: Merging tags keeps popping up confirmation dialogs every second Product: digikam Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tags-Engine Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jens-bugs.kde....@spamfreemail.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY See $SUBJECT STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable sidecar files (XMP) and write only to sidecar files. Do not enable lazy sync. 2. Merge two tags with at least 1000 images inside of them, or move a tag hierarchy to a subhierarchy with >>1000 images tagged. OBSERVED RESULT Tag manager asks me about "this can take a lot of time in the background" about every second. Nevertheless, the operation finishes within ten seconds. EXPECTED RESULT Either put a "Do not ask again" checkbox in this dialog, or measure the time and only put up a single confirmation dialog during the merge/move process, asking the user *once* if they want to do this even if it takes a long time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
