Fix regression when opening DB in read-write mode
Commit eb68430ae5f4 ("Baloo engine: treat every non-success code as a
failure") introduced a regression, afterwards any attempt to open the
DB in read-write mode would fail, as the abort/close/return ended up
in an unconditional scope.
