Bug ID: 406340 Summary: Spectacle seems to freeze Desktop Manager on second start by hiding error message behind existing windows Product: Spectacle Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com Reporter: u...@franke-auer.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Spectacle seems(!!!) to freeze Desktop Manager on second start by hiding error message behind existing windows. Severral times it happen, that I clicked by accident on the spectacle starter (placed in my KDE task bar) amd after that task does not react on any click to started icons. I did not notice that I got a KDE plasma notification "KDEInit kann „/usr/bin/spectacle“ nicht starten" (which makes sense being not startable for a second time). But the info is not in the forground and I seemed to be required to restart the desltop manager. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start any application and minimize it 2. Start spectacle for the first time 3. Start spectacle for the first time 4. Go to task bar and try to active any arbitrary ruinning. It cannot be activate. 5. Click on the second instance of spectacle and "quit" 6) KDEInit kann „/usr/bin/spectacle“ nicht starten (I don't know the original english text but it means "KDEInit cannot start „/usr/bin/spectacle“" OBSERVED RESULT KDEInit cannot start „/usr/bin/spectacle“ appears "in background" after killing the non-starable application (sound really strange) EXPECTED RESULT KDEInit cannot start „/usr/bin/spectacle“ should appear "in front" immediately after the second start of spectacle SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.45.0 Qt Version: 5.9.4 Kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.48-default Distr. openSUSE LeaP 15.0 (64-bit) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
