            Bug ID: 407483
Summary: OpenConnect: do not start connection before hitting
                    "Login"
           Product: plasma-nm
           Version: 5.15.4
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

While researching for a different issue, I had the openconnect dialog open.
After a while an error popup appeared, stating "necessary secrets where not
provided" (or similar). After that hitting login did nothing, had to close the
dialog and open again to be able to login.

I do not expect anything to happen _before_ I actually click "Login"!
- this is counter-intuitive, what is the login button for, then
- there's no indication that something is amiss if you miss the popup
- it's slightly disturbing that apparently stuff is going on without your
knowledge in a security sensitive area

Unless I clearly state my intent to open a connection by actually clicking
"Login", no sort of communication should happen.
And in any case, there needs to be a clear indication that you need to re-do
stuff if a login isn't possible.
