I find it convenient to open multiple instances of Kate so that I can have
different documents open in different workspaces.

I do this with "$ kate -n filename &'

Whenever a new instance opens, some tools are disabled by default, despite the
fact that they have actually been enabled. This includes Snippets.

Consequently, when I open a document, I must go Menu > Settings > Configure
Kate > Plugins > [x] Snippets tool view.

In fact, the other plugins I opted to enable are also disabled. Unfortunately,
the process of browsing, examining and selecting plugins is not something I
necessarily want to repeat often, no matter how delectable the list is, and how
pleasurable it is to tool-up such a fine text editor as Kate.

This is not entirely in keeping with the manner of snippets. Perhaps there is a
config file I must find that specifies which Tools are enabled by default?
Perhaps better still an option in the config menu.
