Using the 4.2.1 and 24th June Nightly Build appimages, I don't see this. I see
the Predefined brush tip texture being reloaded to the original predefined tip
texture.
I tested this with v)_Texture_Impressionism and c)_Pencil-6_Quick_Shade brush
presets.
Can you try this with the 4.2.1 Linux appimage from here:
