            Bug ID: 410233
Summary: Allow Kate/Kwrite to enter Unicode characters with
                    Ctrl+Shift+U (ISO-14755)
           Product: kate
           Version: 19.04.3
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Kate/Kwrite has Unicode support, but while it allows to use Compose and AltGr
to insert Unicode characters, it does not allow to use Ctrl+Shift+U, as
specified in ISO-14755.
It would be nice to be able to use this method as well.
This does conflict with Kate's case keyboard shortcuts however (namely Ctrl+U,
Ctrl+Shift+U, Ctrl+Alt+U), so such a change would require changing the
respective keyboard shortcuts.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
